Day 2. Tale of two adventures.

Sharon's Day..
Well not a lot of sleep....but hey you get that.  Evan and Katie left for their adventure about 9am.  I tidy up the apartment before housekeeping turned up.....Sorry I cant not make the bed!! I don't want to let them think we are slobs!!

First guest to arrive was Valerie....sat and had a lovely chat over a cup of tea.  So lovely to see her again .  She is one very busy lady with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grand children....plus not to mention they always seem to be going on a cruise somewhere :) Lucky lady with her life , full of love, life and family!!
Next up was Shona.....hadn't got to meet this funny wonderful lady last year so was feeling very special that Shona could get the day off work :)  Fantastic sense of humor and love the her dog Bruce, wish I could meet him as well.   We also found out that we all have another connection, not only did we meet through playing scrabble but we all have adopted rescue animals to be a part of our lives.....  Carol was the last to join us.  So more cuppas and then around two ish we headed off to Oxford circle to find a restaurant that Shona recommended.....was lovely and I tried a soup from Celeriac (???) with truffle oil drizzled over it.....yummmmm!! loads of laughs and red wine spilling over...Carol , hopefully you didn't smell to much like a drunk on the train trip home and the red wine came out of your clothes!!

We decided after to lunch to wander through some fancy shops....I even thought about buying a Victoria Beckham bag....just gorgeous, but thought the 1095 pound price tag a tad high...sigh but it was soooo lovely!! One powerball.....
Went past a amazing window display of animals made up from towels, scissors, vaccum cleaners, coffee machines,,,,here a few I loved....

We had a rather disappointing hot drink in Debenhams as two of our lovely group were feeling shattered and needed a revival before venturing to get trains home. i feel blessed that these lovely ladies could make it in to London to meet with me.  The sad bit was that this year Maureen and Sarah couldn't make it...but they all know that the Thomas B&B is available for them all at anytime and thet it included free pick up and drop ff to the airport!!
This was a part of the street that was just about totally covered in lights
...at the top of the building was some big fans, every now and then it snowed....i hadn't noticed until Shona quite loudly yells out ITS SNOWING....i got really excited when I looked up....this prompted a few laughs, it was lovely....not the laughing but the fake snow !!  I have a feeling I may not live that one down :)
I caught the tube to Victoria station by myself...was feeling chuffed i did it...normally map boy is with me....but yay me!!    After taking a few steps ( 100 meters) out side the station was loosing the confidence to find the theatre i was to meet Katie and Evan at to see Billy Elliot....as we had arrange to met there at 7pm.....its all good had another 1/2 hour to find the bleeding place....so rang Jason!!  not that he really helped me...so i went the wrong way but got some amazing power walking in !!  finally found it with five minutes to spare....god I'm good. ( The Theatre was only 100m from the station) Bring on Thursday when Katie and I go by ourselves to Harry potter world.....gulp!!
Loved Billy Elliot but by the last hour ( it went for 3 hours) I was flagging and ready to go to bed!!  They had a new boy playing the lead...he is from Florida and is a fantastic dancer..
After the show we walked to Buckingham Palace to show Katie it at night all lit up .
Back on Wednesday for the changing of the guard.  Back to the tube to go home...stayed up a bit , cup of tea and some pringles and then left Katie to the idiot box and her washing.....night xx
